Terms of service

These terms apply when you use bascuda.co.uk or buy from us. Please read them before you place an order. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us

This website is run by Bascuda Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14368357), with its registered office at 338a Regents Park Road, London, N3 2LN, United Kingdom. VAT number: GB474341685. You can contact us at info@bascuda.co.uk.

2. Orders

When you place an order, we email you to confirm we have received it. This email does not mean your order is accepted. Our contract with you starts when we email you to say your order has been dispatched.

We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock, a price is clearly wrong or we cannot deliver to your address. If we do, we tell you and refund any payment in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. For UK addresses they include VAT. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.

If we find a pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Products

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Many are handmade, so small differences in colour, glaze, shape and size between pieces are part of their character and are not a fault. Colours may also look slightly different on your screen.

5. Delivery

Delivery is covered by our shipping policy. Items are at our risk until they are delivered to you.

6. Returns, cancellation and faulty items

Your right to cancel, how to return items and what to do if an item arrives damaged or faulty are set out in our refund policy. As a consumer, you have legal rights if goods are faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

7. Our liability

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.

8. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will tell you and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is long, you can cancel and receive a full refund for anything you have paid for but not received.

9. Using our website

All content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to Bascuda Limited or its licensors. You may not copy or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. You must not misuse the website, for example by introducing viruses or attempting unauthorised access.

10. Your personal information

We use your personal information as described in our privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you place it.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
